Singer Sargent Dinner

Singer Sargent Dinner

The first blog post seems the scariest, so I’m just gonna get it over with: I’ve quit my full-time job, started taking classes, and have begun creating almost daily. Here’s the latest fruits of my labor, straight from my painting class at Laguna Gloria. John Singer Sargent was an impossibly simple and perfect painter, and I enjoyed every minute attempting to channel him. I’ve already learned a lot from my five session course, and I’m looking forward to a spring filled with lots more classroom structure, as well as precious and unguided time on my own. This may be the silliest, most uncertain, and [hopefully not] financially disruptive job change I’ve made so far (and believe me, my resume is a winding one), but I’m enjoying every second and I’ve never been happier. Thanks for viewing, and I hope you stay tuned…
